Landslides are a naturally occurring phenomenon. Several landslides have occurred in early eighteen century when the development level was low, particularly in upper hills. Hence it is absolutely difficult to correlate them with developmental activities. The fact that human inhabitations and villages exist in the upper hills itself shows that such population need to be connected and hence developmental activities are unavoidable. It is not a practical solution to leave such areas in virgin conditions in the name of save the hills.
