STH stormwatch - death of a Cyclone (and its resurgence?)

Placed above is a satellite image of what was severe Cyclone LAILA as it hugs the Andhra Pradesh coast line. Much of the destructive energy has now been spent and the cyclone has  been downgraded to a  "depression".
However, meteorologists caution that once it moves into the Bay of Bengal again (by late evening tomorrow) it will recharge some of its venom and sting and finally move northeast towards towards Bangladesh.
